Our bead stair comes with 5 complete sets of beads 1-9 and a box to keep them in. The colored bead stair is a quintessential Montessori math material because it has so many different mathematical benefits. The youngest child in primary all the way through upper elementary learns one-to-one correspondence, connecting quantity to symbol, square roots and cubes, basic operations, and complex algebraic equations.
This essential learning tool can be used in Montessori environments but you do not have to be a Montessorian to benefit from using the colored beads.
